At the Retreat Hotel Z Aeschiried, we create a space for people seeking peace, nature and relaxation. As we do not have a staffed reception, check-in and check-out are conveniently handled via self-check-in. This allows you to enjoy maximum freedom and privacy. At the same time, we place great importance on maintaining a peaceful atmosphere, so that all guests can enjoy their break to the full.

We offer lovely rooms in a peaceful setting at fair prices. We are not a traditional hotel: instead of a reception, you’ll find a self-check-in facility available from 4.00 pm, and instead of a television, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Thun and the mountains. Rooms are only cleaned after your stay. As an Retreat-Hotel, we cater to guests seeking peace and relaxation. We therefore ask all guests to strictly observe quiet hours and to be considerate of other guests. In our self-service restaurant ‘Z Reschti’, we serve our regional breakfast buffet daily. Dinner is available upon advance booking by 10.00 am on the same day. You can conveniently order this online via our website. The Auszeit-Hotel Z Aeschiried is situated right next to hiking trails and ski slopes – the ideal starting point for excursions into the mountains and to Lake Thun.

Fresh mountain air, cowbells in summer, stunning views and, in winter, often sunshine above the mist make your stay something special. Numerous hiking trails start right outside the hotel. In winter, the ski slope passes right by the hotel. In Aeschiried and Aeschi, you’ll find restaurants, shops, petrol stations, a tourist information centre and an indoor swimming pool with a sauna. Despite its peaceful and secluded location, our hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Bernese Oberland. Attractions such as Interlaken, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Adelboden, the Blausee, Thun, Brienz and the city of Bern are all around an hour’s drive away.
