Get ready for “Cap Bonheur” and let yourself be charmed by our guest room which combine authenticity and coziness. Our house is ideally located in the heart of the countryside and close to the major points of interest of French-speaking Switzerland: -Lakes of Geneva and Neuchâtel -Mountains of the Alps and Jura -Region of Gruyère “Chambre du Bonheur”: large, bright room with spacious en-suite and independent bathroom. ZEN decoration for a totally relaxing and reviving stay. Discover the largest Swiss forest massif of Jorat: path for family walk, rivers, forest wooden tower, etc. On request, we also offer seasonal and family cuisine, on our large tree-lined terrace in summer or by the fireplace in winter.
Katia & Olivier are nature lovers, they enjoy the green landscapes and the fresh air of the countryside. In 2020, they acquired this completely renovated 19th century house. They fitted out a large space dedicated to their guests, with charm and simplicity so that everyone feels at ease. They will share with you their passion for the beautiful region of French-speaking Switzerland which they know and never stop exploring.
Located between Lake Geneva and Lake Neuchâtel, near the cities of Lausanne, Yverdon or Moudon, Saint-Cierges is a typical village in the heart of neat agricultural land and the vast forests of the Haut Plateau du Jorat (about 800m high) . Its beautiful old houses, such as “Cap Bonheur”, are preserved and decorated with taste. This village of less than 500 inhabitants offers a peaceful atmosphere and a magnificent view over the Jura and the Plateau (lowland) and its shimmering colors. All nearby towns can be easily reached thanks to a frequent bus service. This small village benefits from an incredible infrastructure making it quite independent: 2 restaurants, 1 grocery, 1 local self-service market, 1 large dairy, 1 hairdresser’s, 1 gas station, 1 watchmaker, 1 wine merchant, etc. There are also 2 supermarkets, 1 pharmacy and 1 tea room in the very close village of Thierrens. Nature lovers will enjoy walks in the forest or in the middle of wheat fields. It is Ideally located in the heart of the “Vaud” discrict which offers countless discoveries as presented on the website of the “Office du Tourisme du Canton de Vaud”.
