The fully equipped kitchen, featuring high-quality Kuhn Rikon pans, Zwilling knives, a De'Longhi Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle and vintage family silver cutlery, turns cooking together into a special experience. The cosy living room is perfect for relaxing together (including an additional sleeping option with a single bed). There is also a separate bedroom with a double bed and a modern bathroom with shower. Two balconies with sweeping views – one with direct garden access – complete the living experience. Casa Castanea is nestled in the heart of nature in the Aletsch Arena, a five-minute drive above Mörel-Filet. Its location between Mörel-Filet and the mid-station Betten Dorf is appealing for both young and old: in summer, the Mediterranean climate, mountain lakes, hiking trails and bike trails right on the doorstep invite you to explore. In winter, the slopes and winter hiking trails of the Aletsch Arena await. Day trips can take you to Ernen, Brig, Sion, or across the border in just 30 minutes to the Italian town of Domodossola. With a car, VIVA is the ideal base for activities in and around the Aletsch Arena: the apartment is located between the Mörel valley station, the Greich station (cable car directly up to Riederalp), and the Betten Dorf mid-station (cable car directly up to Bettmeralp). All three stations can be reached by car in just 10 minutes and offer parking facilities.
