Chalet Oz is a modern two-bedroom Swiss chalet in Vitznau, set in the peaceful village between Lake Lucerne and Mt Rigi. The location is ideal for guests who want easy access to hiking trails, lake swimming, boat trips, village walks and public transport connections to Lucerne and the surrounding region. The chalet is well suited to families, couples and small groups looking for comfortable self-catering accommodation near Lake Lucerne. Guests can enjoy lake views, a calm atmosphere and the convenience of nearby shops, cafés, walking paths and transport links. Chalet Oz has Lake Lucerne views and is only a short walk from the lake, boat station and village centre. Inside, Chalet Oz has two bedrooms: one queen bedroom and one twin bedroom with two single beds. There is also a bright living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, Smart TV and space to relax after a day on the lake or mountain. Outside, guests have a balcony with lake views and a small private garden with outdoor seating. One private parking space is available at the front of the family house, with a short walk to the chalet entrance. A washer and dryer are also available, which is especially helpful for longer stays and family holidays. For guests who would like extra relaxation during their stay, private wellness sessions can be booked separately at Harmony Wellness Suite on the property. This paid add-on includes access to the private sauna and hot tub, subject to availability. Wellness use is not included in the accommodation price and must be reserved separately. A local Visitor Card is included with the stay, offering guest benefits such as discounts on selected public transport and attractions in the Lake Lucerne region.

We’re a Swiss-Australian family living right here in Vitznau, and we love welcoming guests from around the world. At home we speak a cheerful mix of English and Swiss German, which we lovingly call “Swinglish”. Philipp grew up in Vitznau, while Karen moved from Australia in 2003. Together we have twin daughters, Alessandra and Maliyah, who enjoy the international feel that Chalet Oz brings to our home. You may also spot our two rescue dogs. Milla prefers to keep a low profile, while Ossi is a little more curious and likes to know what is going on. As a family who loves to travel, we know how much it matters to feel comfortable, relaxed and genuinely welcome when you are away from home. That is why we created Chalet Oz: a place to slow down, enjoy nature and experience Switzerland in a more personal way. We live next door, so we are nearby if you need local tips, restaurant ideas, walking/hiking suggestions or help during your stay. Vitznau selbst hat eine entspannte Dorfatmosphäre, mit lokalen Cafés, Restaurants und schönen Plätzen am See ganz in der Nähe. Ihr könnt Schweizer Klassiker wie Fondue, Rösti und frischen Fisch aus dem See geniessen oder es euch im Chalet mit Selbstverpflegung einfach gemütlich machen. Geschäfte, Restaurants, Spazierwege, der See und die Verkehrsverbindungen sind alle nah genug für einen unkomplizierten Aufenthalt. Für Kultur, Sightseeing und Familienausflüge ist Luzern einfach mit dem Schiff oder den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar. Beliebte Ziele sind das Verkehrshaus der Schweiz, die Seepromenade, die Altstadt, die Kapellbrücke und Schifffahrten auf dem Vierwaldstättersee. Naturliebhaber können im See schwimmen, am Ufer spazieren, oberhalb des Dorfes wandern oder ruhige Picknickplätze mit Blick auf Wasser und Berge entdecken.
