A haven of peace with an exceptional view over the Alps and the heart of Valais! Peacefully set in meadows and forests at 1000 meters altitude above Sion, with spectacular views in all directions at the entrance of the Val d'Hérens, we are only 10km from Sion. Bellevie is a simple mountain retreat set in a large garden where our 2 dogs and a few rabbits roam freely. In winter, you can access the 4 Vallées ski resort in 10 minutes drive to "les Masses", or ski and snowshoe just outside our gate in the surrounding meadows. We have added unique features such as a Jacuzzi and a Hamam to make this a place where you can restore yourself and breathe in peace surrounded by singing birds. There are few noises as we are located on a dirt road leading to numerous walking trails in the woods and mid-mountain hikes in Val d'Hérens. We are happy to suggest itineraries of hikes starting at our gate. You will find cosy bedrooms, a communal kitchen for guests, an art gallery, a jacuzzi, an artist studio, a large garden with sofas to enjoy the spectacular view, a small farm with hens (and no rooster!) and pet rabbits. Our 3 bedrooms show our art collection of paintings and photos. Visit for a family weekend, a romantic nature escapade or with a group of friends. You can also explore art & healing with us without distractions in an inspiring spot. You can book a massage, a yoga session, an art class, a fasting / juicing weekend. We host monthly ecstatic dance and acoustic music events in summertime. We are sorry but we are no longer pet friendly. We have hens, ducks and rabbits roaming free in the garden and most dogs will chase them and disturb the peace. We are an entrepreneur/ artist and a photographer with a property we enjoy sharing with visitors. We have traveled extensively and have lived in London, the Bahamas, Colorado, California, Paris, New York before settling in Valais. Michael is an artist and musician, a tennis player and skier. Anyes is a photographer, a tennis player, a dancer, a yogi and offers private yoga practice outdoors. We have both trained in massage at Harbin School of Massage in Northern California. We are inspired by the beautiful location of Bellevie and are working on a series of art shows in Switzerland. Our original art is shown around the B&B.Art materials are also available for your group with instructions by Michael. We live on site so we are available to answer your questions or help with planning your days adventures. We will try our best to take good care of the people who trust us with their visit and will go above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome.

We are located on a dirt road in agricultural zoning and have virtually no direct neighbors other than a few animals grazing in the fields around us. Very little car traffic as well as the dirt road becomes a hiking trail past the property. A very private location yet very close to the village of Vex, only about 800 meters easy walk thru the fields on a hiking trail to get to the village shops and bus stops. Vex our village is a typical Swiss village with 3 restaurants, 2 convenience stores, a butcher, a bakery and an artisanal baker in a "self serve" shop. With the biggest Swiss ski resort of " les 4 Vallées" -400 km of slopes connected to Verbier, only a 10 min drive from us, Bellevie is a great base to ski. Close access to more Val d'Hérens stations such as: Veysonnaz, Evolene, Nax, Arolla... We also ski / snowshoe directly outside the property in the sloped fields and forests trails when the snow is adequate. Vex is easily accessible by bus from Sion and is at the entrance of the Val D'Hérens, a typical Swiss valley with the feel of a Natural park, with well preserved villages and mountain settings. The valley ends at glaciers and high mountain in Arolla or Ferpècle, thru traditional villages of Evolene, Heremence. The famous dam " the Dixence" set in a spectacular mountain site with the start of numerous mountain hikes and the instagramable "Blue Lake". #lacbleu You can choose numerous activities such as hiking day trips as well as mountain biking, high mountain ski adventures to Zermatt or Verbier. Bellevie is a good location for the Grand Raid (Heremence start) and Patrouille des Glaciers race, Sierre Zinal race, Thyon-Dixence Race, We are a convenient location to Sion (10 kilometers away) and the main road to Sion is very good by all weather.
