I am from Holland, my husband from Tunisia and we found each other in the middle! I already went to Leysin for holidays from the age of 5 so I know this mountain village and surroundings very well. I love to ski/snowboard and hike/snowshoeing so this is the perfect place for me. In Summer I like to swim in Lake Geneva and relax on a boat. I enjoy it very much if my guests are feeling at home and can relax in our apartment. they are always free to ask me if they need tips and tricks.

Chalet Les Silènes, and of course the apartment la petite silène, is located in a quiet neighbourhood. The free bus can bring you quickly to the ski lifts (or 15 min. walk), swimming pool, mountain train station etc. From the apartment you have more than 250 km of hiking paths. In winter snowshoeing. I also like la nuit des fées, (night of the fairy's) a local tradition with a parade and animation. The Montreux Jazz is also a must see (and hear).. In winter there is disco ice skating and you can hike up to Les fers at night for a special edition of the Swiss Cheese fondue. The best croute is at the Mayen restaurant, just try it yourself! For total relaxation you can enjoy the thermal spas in Lavey les Bains, Ovronnaz, Saillon and Val d'Illiez. Golf courses you can find in Aigle and Villars. Do try a culinary stay: besides the delicious cheese fondue and raclette in one of the restaurants in Leysin you can also have a great lunch in the casino in Montreux, in leysin: the Alpine classic Hotel, au brin de soleil, le chasseur and Le Leysin restaurant and a personal tip: L'essentiel which is located close to the ski lifts. At noon they all serve a great dish for a reasonable price.
