Fully renovated in summer 2021 and situated in peaceful surroundings on the edge of Zermatt, the chalet-style 4-star superior Matthiol Boutique Hotel features exclusive wellness facilities and a 10% discount on ski rental. Free transfers from the Zermatt Train Station are offered. The wellness area includes a herbal sauna, a steam bath, and a Finnish sauna, and can be used free of charge. The fitness room is also available at no extra cost. All rooms in the Matthiol Hotel have free WiFi access, life TV Streaming and coffee machine. Most also feature a balcony with views of the Matterhorn or Gornergrat. The trendy restaurant serves Swiss and international cuisine, with locally and nationally sourced ingredients, prepared from scratch. In the winter time, cheese fondue is served in outside huts. Breakfast consist of buffet and hot items to order. Zermatt is a car-free resort, and the hotel offers a free pick-up service from Zermatt Train Station or the taxi rank between 08:00 and 21:00 on the day or arrival and departure. The nearest bus stop is just a 2-minute walk away, and local buses can be used free of charge with the ski pass. With good snow condition, the hotel can be reached by ski from Furi and in the morning ski-out is possible from the hotel depending on snow cover and conditions.
