Tai Marino Beach Bungalows is a small, family owned beachfront property offering a peaceful and personal island stay. It features two absolute beachfront, self contained bungalows with a beautiful swimming spot just steps from their door.
We welcome you with fresh flower garlands on arrival and offer a short island orientation with a grocery stop to help you settle in with ease.
For convenience, we provide onsite scooter rentals, and for a truly memorable experience, our personalised private lagoon tours called Marino Tours for a relaxed and intimate way to explore Aitutaki’s stunning lagoon.
Kia Orana, I'm Vaea and I manage the property with my husband Marokii. We are originally from Rarotonga but after a few years of volunteer work around the pacific, we moved to the island of Aitutaki, the home of our parents, and with their help built these beautiful bungalows together. We love the quiet island life and all that the sea has to offer including fishing and a variety of water sports. We are family-oriented and have a strong faith that motivates us to take care of others and our guests. We look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy your stay on the beautiful island of Aitutaki, our home.
Tai Marino Beach Bungalows is set in a quiet, relaxed part of the island, offering a more local and peaceful atmosphere away from the busier areas.
Directly in front of the bungalows is one of the island’s few swimming spots where you can enjoy a proper swim at any tide level, a rare feature on Aitutaki due to the very shallow lagoon in most areas.
From here you can also catch glimpses of the sunset over the water, and in the evenings watch the moon rise beautifully over Maunga Pu right across the road.
Right across the road, a 20 minute hike leads you up Maunga Pu, the highest point on the island, offering panoramic views. A short 5 minute walk brings you to The Cecil Hut for casual takeaway meals, while a 10 minute walk south leads to two nearby resort restaurants.
The closest grocery store is around a 30 minute walk, so we recommend having a vehicle for added convenience during your stay.
