Created in 2007 by a Frenchman from Brittany who loved the sea and his Cameroonian wife, the idea was to offer French-style ‘Gîtes’. Les Gîtes de Kribi has evolved in line with the growing demand from visitors to this pretty seaside town. In addition to the small ‘Eton’ hut for family visits, we have added 3 other cottages for families on holiday. The discovery behind the gîtes of an extraordinary unspoilt area bordered by a river led us to convert it into an ‘ecological zone’, where 3 bungalows (1 bedroom) and 3 chalets (3 bedrooms) made of azobe wood have turned this place into a haven of pure, calm nature, where birds and monkeys are your companions. Then came the Cabane a Marie in the hundred-year-old mango tree at the entrance to the gîtes with ocean views, comfortable guest rooms and flats, and finally the last building of 3 Premium flats built in place of the little Eton hut from the very beginning. A restaurant, now renowned, completes the project. The smooth running of the establishment is ensured by the wonderful, respectful staff who have been with us since the start of this wonderful African adventure.
