Among all the places in the region you must consider few things: - distance from the airport - if nice beach is close enough - if it is town where is very loud Our property is located 5min tuctuc drive to the pier from the aiport and 12min boat trip. We organize it for you. Before your trip, you send us list of things you would like to have in the bar and kitchen. Complimentary breakfast can be fulfilled with dinner with fresh fish or vegetarian option. Ask to have it on the beach! Beach chairs, beach towels, water, night fire, coconut are free of charge any time. For extra request, we will provide kayaks or SUP. You can easily swim in the sea - there is minimum of waves and it's not deep. Our private beach is just 30m from the house with outdoor shower. All the local activities you can book with us in good prices and have your stay smooth and easy, trust us, we have it checked all!

We are two friends and business partners from Krakow, Poland who run the travel office and we decided to build this beautiful and lush house in the heart of Pacific Ocean. Since our first visit we fell in love with Playa Mecana, so with our local fellows we are maintaining this property with private beach. As scuba divers and surfers, we would like to amaze you with all the possible activities which you can do in the region: whale watching, waterfalls, wreck diving, tyre-swim in the river, forest animal trail, surfing, swimming and kayaking - ask us for help and we are ready to organize you everything! What's more, like us, you must consider where to stay during your trip to Choco... after many travels there we are convinced that Playa Mecana gives you tranquility (Huina is veeery loud), great beach (which El Almejal doesn't have) palm garden with sandy beach (El Valle and Bahia Solano are not what you're looking for). You must know, that our region is divided generally into 2 parts: 1. Bahia Solano (pueblo with airport) / Playa Huina / Playa Mecana - this is the bay 2. El Valle / Playa El Almejal Most of the foreign tourists go into trap which is second option, about 50min. tuctuc drive with very bad road. You waist a lot of time this way. The beach El Almejal is very wide and big, without trees and palms, with very big waves, so if you go there, you cannot swim, just in some parts of the day, you can do surfing. But for majority of people it is dirty with dangerous water. So if you like to enjoy beach in the region, please choose Playa Mecana or those close to Huina. Thankfully to our location, you can discover variety of different activities. Our checked and best suggestions which you can do in the region we can organize for you: - whales watching (from mid May to mid October) combined with Nabuga waterfall - this is highlight, whales come to give birth to offspring in Bahia Solano. After 2-3h we will take you for hidden gem, waterfall of Nabuga where you can swim and greet to indigenous people living near by (380000COP/pp) 5h in total - snorkelling with local fishing - come over to high rocks do the snorkel and later do some fishing with us - for snapper, sierra, robalo or many many more (280000COP/pp) - 3h in total - rain forest hike - get to know our fauna and flora, put on rubber boots and search for different species, like hummingbird, snakes, frogs, monkeys or during night walk puma (100000COP/pp) - 3h in total - sport fishing with rods – you start at 6AM, takes 6 hours – try out for tuna or marlin (1100000COP/per boat) - scuba diving - for OWD 2 dives around underwater mountiains is 450000COP/pp. For advance, there is wreck waiting… Option for those without permissions, we have Discover Scuba for 420000COP/pp including also 2 dives up to 12metres – total 3h - tyres slide on the Mecana River – take your big tyre and walk If you need something else we are here for you
