San Josecito Beach - Has a reef to snorkel (15-20 minute walk). Very diverse sea life; commonly seen puffer fish, sea turtles and much more. 2 main coastal paths great for hiking (each about 2 1/2 hours one way); 1 leading to Drake Bay and 1 leading up to Corcovado National Park. Animal sightings are virtually limitless. These beaches are covered in almond trees, mango trees, coconut trees and many other fruits that regularly attract Scarlett Macaws, Monkeys, and various other animals and birds. Naguala Waterfall - Accessible by vehicle (3 miles away); hike about 20 minutes from (parking space) along the river through large moss covered stone walls with partly shaded and partly sunny path. Parts of the river are deep enough to submerge yourself and cool off along the way to the waterfall. Great for swimming, this is a magical destination.
