Encanto Lodge features a unique location where you can find all in one: Jungle, river and beach! Beside a trail in the jungle, our guests can take our canoes (free service) or kayaks (paid service) to reconnect with nature and discover the local wildlife on the river, lagoon and a pristine beach. Our property is home to a lot of wildlife, especially a huge variety on birds, including wetland birds, but also to reptiles, amphibians and mammals as kinkajous, tapirs, oppossums, otters, anteaters and even ocelots and jaguarundis. Encanto Lodge is secluded from the center of Drake Bay and consists of detached, private Cabañas nestled between garden, jungle and river. The rooms are decorated with wall paintings depicting the local wildlife and with natural materials as white cane or pumpkin tree fruit. Our guests can relax in the hammocks surrounded by nature or choose from a variety of tours that allow them to dive even more into nature and look for special wildlife of interest, e.g. our special Encanto night tour where you can look for the shiny eyes of the crocodiles, a trip to the world famous Corcovado National Park or Diving at Caño Island. Both our cabañas are equipped with an electric kettle to make tea and coffee. We prepare breakfast to our guests (included) and will also gladly prepare lunch and dinner for guests (additional cost, prior reservation required). Encanto Lodge offers the free service to pick you up from Drake Bay airport or the boat station and free parking for guests arriving by car (recommended).

Encanto lodge is a family-run business. We built, created and decorated our buildings with our own hands and we also attend our guests. We both enjoy cooking and preparing meals for our guests. We are both nature lovers. Edu is a naturalist tour guide and Sabrina is a Biologist. We guide wildlife observation tours as the night tour, the canoe or kayak tour and the bird watching tour on and around the property. We also try to show you the wildlife on the property whenever there is a chance. We also offer an artisanal fishing tour where Edu shares his passion about fishing and a cacao tour where Sabrina shares her knowledge on how to make your own chocolate from the beans of our farm. You can also experience a equine-guided learning session ("horse wisdom") with our own and well-cared horses. We live on the property. Whenever you need something, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime, we try to help wherever we can.

Encanto Lodge property is adjacent to the Rio Drake and its lagoon where you can observe a lot of wildlife, including a big variety of freshwater and other birds. You can use our canoes (free service) or kayaks (additonal cost) to explore the surroundings and go to the beach. We also offer wildlife observation tours in the area. A lonesome pristine beach is at 200m and a beautiful hidden mangrove beach is at 2km air distance from here. You can find some of the misterious precolumbian stone balls at the entrance of the village El Progreso at 1,5km (20 min by foot). We are at 10km from Corcovado National Park (15km San Pedrillo Ranger Station and 35km Sirena Ranger Station) and can help you to organize day or overnight tours to there. We are at 25km from Caño Island and can help you to organize snorkeling or diving tours to its Biological Reserve where you can see sea turtles, rays, sharks and a lot of fish. Golfo Dulce Reserve We have an on-property Jungle-trail through a private reserve where Tapirs still live. We also offer guided wildlife tours on property. The El Progreso village with a supermarket is at 1,5km. The center of Drake Bay, called Agujitas, and several restaurants and supermarkets are at 4km from here. In Amapola, at 40km from here, you can find the Yaguara Wildlife Sanctuary where you can observe wildlife from close. At around 40km from here you can find the Aguas Ricas Indigenous Community Cultural Experiences.
