Its small number of rooms, along with a tranquil location, allows to a closer relationship with our guests and personalised attention. We live on the roof top of the house and we are around most of the time, available to assist our guests in any petition you have. We really enjoy spending time with guests when possible!

The term “Casa d’Pau” is a local creole expression that alludes to the rustic nature of a place, where many elements, including furniture, are made of reused wood, trunks, and other similar materials. Casa Pau is a private house transformed to a small guesthouse thought to be a place of comfort and harmony, somewhere to turn the mind off and awaken the senses towards our surroundings. Its small number of rooms, along with a tranquil location, allows to a closer relationship with our guests and personalised attention. In Casa Pau we believe in simplicity, sustainability and quality, and we have made every effort to make this place comfortable. Our soul is expressed through a rustic but elegant aesthetic, with abundance of nature elements and reused objects adapted to meet domestic functions.

Neighborhood info

Casa Pau is located in a very tranquil residential area of Santa Maria, at 150 meters of the ocean. The city center is 10 minutes walking, and around the area there are several small shops for groceries (1-minute walk). It is 2 minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Antonio Sousa, with warm shallow waters and variety of centers offering surfing, kite-surfing, SUP and windsurfing lessons and renting equipment. A diving center is located on the spot too. There are several local places and restaurants to eat or have a drink around the area, especially in the front-line. At the back, a nice short walk through the desert landscape will bring you to the wilder and astonishing beach of Igrejinha and Costa de Fragata, at the east of the island.
