Looking for an authentic personal apartment rather than a random hotel room? Well.., you've found it! This is an excellent place for you to stay. As much as we’d love to be objective, we have to admit– a city apartment is our own favorite way to travel. The rates are often lower than the resorts, the service is much more personalized and the properties are often more authentic than any other hotel could offer. Being among the locals and getting to know their culture combined with white sandy beaches, palm trees, good food and a happy hour now and then is our idea of the ultimate vacation. And that is exactly what we offer at Kas di Laman Curacao.

Neighborhood info

All apartment are situated in one of Otrobanda's nicest streets and part of the Unesco World Heritage site of Willemstad. Our city is divided in two parts Otrobanda and Punda. In less than a 10 minute walk to the Pontoon bridge you walk by the Kura Hulanda Museum. It impressively exhibits the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade in its totality. At the 'Brion square' you'll find nice cafes and restaurants and you can watch the big ships come in. Good shopping you'll find at the Riffort and Renaissance Mall and in the 'Breedestraat'. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner at Maira's Kitchen, a Mediterranean local restaurant. Many other good restaurants, cafes, shops, musea, sights, 4Dcinema, bus station and the Anna Bay. All this within walking distance. If you cross the pontoon bridge you easily walk to the fruit and vegetable market. The market where you can eat together with the locals 'kuminda krioyo' (local food), like keshi yena (stuffed cheese), grilled mula (fish) or karni stoba (beef stew) is a must do and also nearby. Along the way you'll find many shops. From brand name clothing to jewelers to perfume to flip flop and souvenir shops.
