It lies in Šumava region, in the elevation of 1,065 m, making it the highest-located municipality in the country. among major points of interest nearby are: - Vltava Spring - beautiful trek from the apartment - Lake moor ( jezerní slať ) with beautiful moors - Kvilda Visitors center with Lynx and deers viewpoints and many other beautfiful places
