We, that is Michaela, Tom, our two children Finja Skadi and Fjara Alinora and our animals, a nature-loving Finnish-German family. Since August 2020 we have been living in the old forester's house in Bodenmais. With warmth, joy and a lot of fun, we want to breathe new life into the old forest house.

The Altes Forsthaus in Bodenmais is a place to linger, relax or to be active in sports. Here you have the opportunity to organize your day the way you like it. Visit us at the "Altes Forsthaus Bodenmais" to experience the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The Altes Forsthaus is an ideally located starting point for wonderful hikes, long walks, mountain bike tours, Nordic walking or trail running. The extensive network of paths into nature begins right outside the front door. Or spend a day on the forest railway, the next stop is within walking distance. Note: The Bodenmais resort tax must be paid in cash upon arrival. Each unit comes with a sofa, a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a well-fitted kitchenette with a dining area, and a private bathroom with a hair dryer. There is also a fridge, oven, hob, kettle and coffee maker.

The "Altes Forsthaus" is in a quiet, secluded location in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. We are located near Bodenmais which is a climatic health resort. Peace and deceleration - in the middle of nature. Directly from the house there is a short hike up to the Silberberg. On the Silberberg there is an adventure center (visitor mine, beer garden, summer toboggan run, adventure playgrounds, tubing run, children's climbing garden, adventure camp, guest towns, archery range, mountain railway to the summit). If you explore the surrounding area by forest railway or by car, there are endless possibilities. Observation towers above the treetops / skywalks, jungle hikes, biotopes, smoke tubes, caves, waterfalls, national park centres, animal enclosures and forest treetop paths in the national park, house to the wilderness, snack pastures, mountain huts, leisure parks, fairy tale pastures, wellness, spa, sauna and bathing paradises , glass manufactories
