Welcome to our newly modernised apartment in the vineyards of the Mosel. It is a comfortable and quiet location, and an ideal base for exploring the Mosel region. Well proportioned and comfortable accommodation with lovely views of the vineyards spread over 2 floors, with the bedroom and bathroom being on the top floor. We provide bicycles for our guest at no charge so you can enjoy and explore the myriad cycle paths that extend all along the Mosel river. Up to 2 small dogs are welcome at our property for an extra cleaning charge of Euro 10 per dog payable to the housekeeper, and we must be notified in advance of any pets.
Although we live in the UK, we met in Germany over 25 years ago, and still love the place! Please feel free to ask us anything about the local area and we will endeavour to make your visit a happy one.
The apartment is reached by a quiet back street from Moselufer. Parking is available by the Mosel river about 50 Meters away. Urzig itself is a wine producing town with many wine houses and producers that will be more than happy to provide you with a "weinprobe" tasting session. There are many good restaurants in Urzig, with 2 being in the latest Michelin guide and it is very well served for gastronomy given the small size of the town. 2km away is Kloster Machern which is an old Monastery that is now a brewery and restaurant which is very popular and well deserving of a visit.
