Bakeries and supermarkets are just a few minutes' walk away – ideal for convenient self-catering during your stay. Thanks to its central location, the "Schwalbennest" is a perfect starting point for exploring Eisfeld and the southern Thuringia region. If you're looking for a special experience, alpaca trekking in nearby Bockstadt or border hikes along the historic inner-German border are also possible. Excursions to the Thuringian Forest, the Rennsteig Trail, or the Heubach ski lift (about 19 km away) are also possible.
