Bed linen, towels, washing powder, toiletries and final cleaning are included. Upon arrival, the local tourist tax must be paid in cash and your registration form must be signed. Beautiful hikes over gentle hills and steep mountains are possible in both summer and winter. Many swimming lakes tempt you to jump into the clear water and the banks of the Isar tempt you with barbecue areas. Rent your equipment from the local mountain school and conquer the unique via ferrata "Mittenwalder Höhenweg" at the top of the Karwendel Mountains at a lofty 2300m altitude. The Karwendelbahn takes you up to the Karwendelspitze in 10 minutes; the view and the experience are magnificent. You can also enjoy the best beer from Germany's highest brewery there :-) In winter, cross-country skiing is very popular. In addition to the excellent cross-country ski trails directly in Mittenwald, there are also perfect ones in Krün, Wallgau, Leutasch and Seefeld (World Cup 2019). All the necessary equipment can be rented on site (cross-country skis, skis, as well as mountain and e-bikes). Below the Kranzhorn, Mittenwald's small local mountain, there is a family ski area. Beginners and experts alike have fun here. Directly opposite is Germany's longest deep snow run - the Dammkar. From the Karwendelspitze down to the Dammkarhütte and back to the valley station of the gondola, it offers the ski enthusiast a unique experience. In summer, recreational climbers meet at the hut. The world-famous ski areas of Garmisch and Seefeld can be reached in just 20 minutes. ​
