Surrounded by the Frankenhöhe Nature Park, this family-run hotel in Windelsbach offers traditional Franconian food and quiet rooms with a flat-screen TV and private bathroom. Only a 10-minute drive from Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the 3-star Gasthof Linden & Wildkräuterhotel has traditional-style rooms with a flat-screen TV and a telephone. All rooms were modernized in late 2012 and are individually designed on a herbal theme. Guests are welcome to make herbal teas in their own room. Regional buffet breakfasts are prepared in the bright breakfast room. Regional specialties and Mediterranean-style dishes are served in the Gasthof Linden's traditional restaurant with wide wooden tables and a tiled stove. The Linden Gasthof und Gästehaus is a good starting point for hiking and cycling trips in the Frankenhöhe countryside.
