Gingst has retained its historical character to this day thanks to its once medieval hustle and bustle. Not only the circular market square with its houses, but also the craftsmen's workshops still show the village as a former center of craftsmanship on Rügen. The special thing about the location of Gut Rattelvitz is the absolute peace and quiet; you will be woken up by birds in the morning. It is not uncommon to see hares or deer grazing in the meadows around the estate. Hikes and bike tours can be started directly from the house due to the proximity to the forest.
