Heeser Hof is a family-run farm in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. We started renting our first holiday apartments in 2020, followed by additional holiday homes in 2025. Today, the farm offers six apartments and three holiday homes in total. Some of the accommodations are located inside the former barn, which we carefully converted ourselves over the years with a lot of personal work and attention to detail. It was important to us to preserve the character of the farm while creating comfortable places where guests can simply feel at ease. We live on the farm ourselves and are personally available for questions, wishes or local recommendations. Many guests appreciate exactly this combination of peace, nature and honest hospitality — without hotel routines, entertainment programs or mass tourism. Instead, you will find open landscapes, walking paths directly from the farm and a place where it is easy to slow down for a while.

The Heeser Hof is located in a quiet countryside setting between fields, meadows and small woodland paths, right next to the Maasduinen National Park. You stay in your own holiday apartment with a private entrance and can start walking or cycling directly from the farm. Many guests appreciate that mornings here are filled with birdsong instead of traffic noise. The apartments are practical, comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay in the countryside — including kitchens, cozy seating areas and comfortable beds. Around the farm you will find several outdoor seating areas, a garden with wide views over the fields and the possibility to enjoy a barbecue together on warm evenings. For families, friends or small groups, there is also a shared common room where everyone can sit together, eat, play games or simply spend time together. Dogs are welcome upon prior arrangement and will find endless walking paths through fields, forests and heathland directly from the farm — no need to get back into the car first.

Neighborhood info

Heeser Hof is located in the Lower Rhine countryside, right next to the Dutch border and only a short walk from the Maasduinen National Park. Many guests leave the car parked after arrival because cycling and hiking trails start directly at the farm. Small forest paths, heathland, lakes and wide open fields shape the landscape — especially in spring and autumn, when the mornings are often covered in light mist. Nature lovers can explore the Maasduinen National Park, the Reindersmeer lake area and many cycling routes within minutes. Dog owners especially enjoy the quiet surroundings and long walking trails without heavy traffic. Families will find nearby attractions such as Irrland amusement park, Weeze Zoo and several natural playgrounds. For day trips, guests often visit the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer, the historic Roman town of Xanten or the Dutch village of Arcen with its cafés, restaurants and local markets. After an active day, the Leukermeer lake area and the GochNess sauna and swimming complex offer opportunities to relax. In the evenings, the farm becomes quiet again. From the garden, guests can watch the sunset over the fields while frogs can often be heard from the nearby ditches. Thanks to the secluded countryside location and very little artificial light, the night sky here is still filled with stars.
