Company info

The Obere Juchhe has traditionally been a well-known guesthouse where every fellow townsman has celebrated weddings and parties. The building has now been completely modernized to meet today's needs. In the summer of 2020 we started renting out an apartment and renting out rooms with breakfast. From October 2020 it is possible for our guests to cook for themselves in our new common room. You can eat, but you can also sit there to relax or watch TV. In short, a real enrichment of our company.

Our small-scale guest house has been completely modernized in recent years, while we have managed to preserve the friendly and homely atmosphere. The appearance of the Obere Juchhe is modern, but by preserving authentic details it has retained cosiness! You will soon feel at home in the Obere Juchhe and that is our intention! Every guest is free to use the communal living-dining kitchen. Join us at the table! Our guest house is ideal for groups up to a size of 12 people. If you are interested in this, please contact us. Whether you are with us for a few days or a week, you will be amazed by the tranquility around our guest house. The area is ideal for wonderful walks, sporty bike rides, cultural excursions or motorcycle tours!

Activities: Walking or cycling from the door through the Schiefer Mountains or over the Rennsteig. Enjoy the delicious herbs, butterflies and mushrooms. Thuringen is a great area for the motorcyclist. Beautiful routes can be taken directly from our guest house. You can swim within walking distance of our guest house. The village of Meernach has an idyllic outdoor swimming pool. A ride to the Hohenwartestausee is worthwhile. Rent a boat or visit one of the beaches. Nice museums; 'Grenz und Heimatmuseum' in Grafenthal, Schiefermuseum in Proptzella. Or visit the Saalfelder Feen caves or the Morazina caves! Nice cities are: Weimar, Saalfeld, Kronach, Erfurt.
