This spacious holiday home is located in the municipality of Friedrichshöhe, a district of Eisfeld. The house has all the amenities you need and a wood stove in the living area creates a cosy atmosphere. The terrace and garden are the perfect place to sunbathe or have a barbecue. Friedrichshöhe is located directly on the "Rennsteig" ridge trail within the Thuringian Forest, also known as the "Green Heart" because of its central location in Germany. The place was once the smallest community in the GDR and has now been turned into the "Thuringian Forest" nature park, therefore being spared from hotels and tourist facilities. Here you will find rest and relaxation in a fantastic, unique and natural environment. You can enjoy the stunning, almost unspoiled nature here in both summer and winter. Well-marked hiking trails are sure to excite any nature lover. Cyclists will also find a wide range of appealing routes, such as the Werra cycle path. In winter, well-groomed cross-country ski trails, groomed slopes, ski hiking trails and toboggan slopes round off the list of attractive activities. Excursions in the area include: Eisfeld Castle with museum, Veste Coburg, ruins of Schaumburg, Lauscha, Masserberg, Lichtenhain/mountain railway.
