From time to time, the host may drop by to water the plants and make sure everything is thriving. Gl. Strandly is close to the sea, so you can feel the breeze from the water. On the four acres of land there is a marsh that attracts exciting birdlife all year round. In the fall, you can experience the black sun almost every evening and in the spring the nightingale visited for three weeks. The garden around the cottage is filled with perennials and fruit trees, and in the warmer months you can barbecue on the large terrace. Under the umbrellas you can enjoy breakfast and dinner with the best views. The landscape is completely free of traffic and is ideal for a nice jog or to walk your dog - dogs are very welcome at Gl. Strandly. Meet Malene Our names are Malene and Søren, and our holiday home is called Gl Strandly. We've lived here for 35 years and it's a real family place. Malene is an artist, and in 2007 we designed and built a small workshop, gallery and new house that we live in. The small house is very close to the summer house Gl. Strandly, so as hosts we're always close by if something is missing. We love to invite people in for dinners or afternoon coffee if you feel like it. We have continuously renovated Gl. Strandly. We often go to Langør Harbor or Stauns to sail in kayaks, take long walks in Møgelskår on the North Island and find wildflowers or rent a horse from Rikke ...
