The newly renovated apartment sits on the first floor of our smallholding, with private access via an external staircase. In the big room the light flows in, with views over our horse paddocks, fields and forest. The room is open plan, with a screened off sleeping area ( small double bed - 140 cm wide ). The separate bedroom holds two single beds and offers view over the garden with apple and pear trees. You will have your own private bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. ON REQUEST we’re happy for you to bring along a well behaved dog or cat, so our place may not be suitable for people with pet allergies. We have an enclosed section of garden where you can exercise/play with your dog, but please ask first 😊, as we also use it for our own dogs. Just please don’t leave your dog alone in the apartment.

Linda is Danish, and Richard is British. We are retired, but spent our whole working lives with providing services and creating good experiences for people. We miss that, so decided to open up our place to receive guests, and it’s been a joy to welcome people from many different countries. We have 4 horses, two cats and two dogs.

Hestegaarden lies on the edge of the small village of Haastrup which is renowned for its strong community spirit along with the many thatched cottages and old farms. The local small supermarket is only 800 m away. Beaches and forests are close by, and we have some wonderful local walks through some stunning nature as well as some very popular cycling routes.
