Vægterpladsen is steeped in history and charm. The house dating back to the 1600s, sits on a quiet corner of a historically significant square in Aabenraa. In front of the house stands the Vægter - a granit statue of a night watchman accompanied by his dog. The statue commemorates the night watchmen who patrolled these streets to maintain order and announce the time. Just a few short steps away is the main shopping area with restaurants and bars. Aabenraa has beautiful countryside with old established forests and the beach with the marina is also not far away.
