From here it is not far to the fishing village of Hvide Sande or the tourist town of Søndervig. Ringkøbing Fjord is one of Scandinavia's best windsurfing areas and is also very suitable for sailing, fishing, kiting and other forms of water sports. The beaches are not as wide as on the west coast, but very suitable for families with children, as the water is very low and there are few currents along the coast. Legoland and the lion park in Givskud, where you can see the big animals up close, are only about an hour's drive from here.
