Vejlefjord Sanatorium opened on March 1, 1900 and was Denmark's first tuberculosis sanatorium. The scenic location, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, was carefully chosen by founder Dr. Christian Saugman, because tuberculosis patients should have plenty of fresh air, rest and exercise. Hotel Vejlefjord still holds to the basic principles of good food, fresh air, peace and rest to this day. We offer an atmosphere that reflects the hotel's history and creates an atmosphere of relaxation. The decor in the hotel and in the rooms is also kept in an atmosphere that reflects the hotel's history. There is free WI-FI and you can enjoy our panoramic view of Vejle Fjord from our large terrace. In the Thermal Baths you will find both various hot and cold pools, saunas and a steam bath. Both spa entrance and spa treatments are an additional purchase and must be booked in advance of your stay. Our restaurant is located overlooking the beautiful nature, which contributes something special in all seasons. When you enter the restaurant you will also notice the creaking floors, which are the original floors from the time when the place was a sanatorium. Breakfast buffet is always included when staying at Hotel Vejlefjord. Lunch and dinner menu are optional and we recommend booking a table in advance. There is free parking throughout the hotel and the possibility of charging electric cars. If you want to go on a trip, you will find Vejle 30 minutes drive from the hotel and Aarhus 1 hour drive from the hotel.
