Las Galeras is a hidden jewel in the Caribbean. I also fell in love with this place.

Property info

La Cueva is nature house. The owners designed this little pearl to have a direct contact with nature and the surrounding tropical environment. That means a lot of 'earthly' materials are used (concrete, stones, wood, rocks). The house is built around a rock formation, with a large cave (a little cathedral) integrated in the house and dedicated as a bathroom. So it is definitely a James bond house! You rent the whole house, with an equipped kitchen, so you can make your own meals. The house is ideal for 4 people! There are two rooms with double bed with a big fan on the ceiling (ground floor - in the house). There is a possibility to have a third bed in the large and spacious living area. There is a large L-shaped terrace, ideal for the outdoor life in the Caribbean. Several wide doors connect the terrace with the spacious indoor living area and open kitchen. All windows are made of wood and have a mosquito protection. The house is very spacious and is designed to cool naturally, so no air conditioning needed.

Neighborhood info

La Cueva eco-lodge is located in a green, quiet residential area, about 400m walking distance from the beaches and the main street (center). You can also walk to Playa Madama (about 1.5 hours). For the great Playa Fronton, you need to take a boat (10 minutes from Las Galeras Beach). For the magnificent Playa Rincon you need a car, taxi or motoconcho. Or you can take a boat. Security is provided by a guard who patrols the area.
