Welcome to Starlight Mountain Lodge, a lodge nestled in the heart of the Andean highlands, on the outskirts of the historic town of Sigchos in the province of Cotopaxi. Perfect for those seeking to escape urban life and connect deeply with nature, our lodge is the ideal base for exploring the stunning landscapes, rich biodiversity, and volcanic wonders that define this region. Experience the authentic Andean culture of Sigchos, a welcoming town known for its genuine people and local traditions. Gateway to Majestic Peaks and Landscapes From Starlight Mountain Lodge, you are in the perfect position to witness some of Ecuador's most impressive volcanic panoramas. Our location offers spectacular views of the twin-peaked Ilinizas mountains, part of the nearby ecological reserve. You can also see the powerful Quilotoa Crater Lake, a dazzling turquoise lagoon formed within a volcanic caldera. The famous Quilotoa Loop trek begins in the area from our property. Closer by, the dramatic Toachi Canyon—a gorge carved by ancient volcanic flows—and the impressive climbing walls of the Tangán Columns offer immediate access to adventure.

We have an spectacular view of the hiking trail to Isinlivi and the surrounding mountains. We are just 5 minutes away from the main town, Sigchos. Here you can find transport to and from Latacunga, Quito, Isinliví, Chugchilán and Quilotoa. We provide private transport to and from Isinlivi, Latacunga, Tena, Banos, Quiltoa and the airport...just get in touch! My family and I love having guests and we treat them with a lot of respect, our house is your house. We are close to the animal and veggies market, local stores and we are always up for showing you around ourselves.

Neighborhood info

This is a very safe place and all the locals are very happy to welcome you, just bring your smile and a great attitude. The scenery is beautiful so don´t forget your camera! Surrounded by nearby mountain tops, canyons, cloudforest, rivers and waterfalls meaning we can point you to the best places. We live away from the city - but only 5 minutes no worries - surounded by farm animals, friendly neighbours and a lot of peace and quiet. Enjoy the stars!
