The Galeodan Suites occupy two buildings of the “Casa de Huespedes: Jardin de Helena” (Helena’s Garden) in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, less than 1.2 mi from the airport. Free WiFi is provided. Each air-conditioned suite features a balcony, a full kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker and kettle. Company info

Maria Elena’s mother is from Santa Cruz and her father from San Cristobal, where he is still an active fisherman. Both sides of the family have deep roots in the Galapagos. Maria Elena grew up and worked in the Galapagos before leaving to Canada to further her education and outlook. Sean was raised in various parts of Africa while schooling in England. Sean is a professional Civil Engineer and has spent over 35 years in construction, including 25 years in Canada, the last 15 of which were in his own consulting business. Maria Elena and Sean met in Canada, shortly before Maria Elena accepted an IT posting in Bermuda. Maria Elena and Sean were married in Bermuda and their two sons, who were born in Canada, now enjoy Canadian, Irish and Ecuadorian citizenship. The Keegan family has been visiting Galapagos regularly since 1996 and moved permanently to San Cristobal in January, 2009.

Helena’s Garden, the home of the Galeodan Suites, occupies some 6.7 acres, on the outskirts of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, just metres from shore, facing west over the Pacific Ocean. We purchased the land some 9 years ago while still living in Canada and moved to San Cristobal permanently in January, 2009. In February, 2013 we opened the Penthouse Suite just above our home. Since then have been slowly expanding our facilities with new suites in a completely new building adjoining the first. All the suites share the physical properties of the original Penthouse Suite: • Lots of space: from 485 to 1,045 sf \ 46 to 97m2 • Rustic finishes (textured walls etc.) • Solid wood windows, doors and furniture by local craftsmen. • Terrace or balconies facing west for glorious sunsets over the bay. • Well equipped kitchenettes • Spacious, fully enclosed bathrooms with gas-heated water • Private entrance The Galeodan Suites occupy only 13% of Helena’s Garden. The remainder, plus the area between the Suites and the main road, is green space which guests are welcome to explore.

Neighborhood info

Helena’s Garden is in a quiet residential neighbourhood, within easy walking distance of San Cristobal’s favourite attractions: the beach at Playa Mann; the beach at Punta Carola; the Tijeretas and the Interpretation Centre. While on the edge of town, it is still only 5 minutes’ walk from the centre and a 5 minute ride from the airport.
