We are Paula and Manuel, a married couple with a child and a lot of excitement for this small project we’ve called "Almar", a blend of the words alma (soul) and mar (sea) — two things that inspire us. The soul of this apartment is my grandparents, Horacio and Julia, who for many years called this place “home.” The sea is another deep source of inspiration for us. In addition to being a journalist, I’m also a flight attendant, so I’m very familiar with the feeling of being away from home. On one hand, you’re happy to be traveling, but on the other, you miss your own home. That’s why, and because we love hosting people in our own house, we’ve poured all our love and care into making sure you feel at home here. As a very creative person, I took the opportunity to prepare Almar by painting and creating some of the decorations you’ll find in the apartment — I hope they help make Almar a warm and cozy place for you during your holidays in El Albir.

The apartment is located on the third floor of a building with an elevator and is completely exterior-facing. It has two bright double bedrooms — one with a 150x200cm bed, and the other with a 135x180cm bed. There are two full bathrooms: one is en-suite, and the other is right next to the second bedroom. The kitchen, fully renovated and equipped, is open to the living-dining area, where an additional guest can sleep on the double sofa bed. From here, you can access the spacious terrace overlooking the pool. The windows are double-glazed, which provides excellent soundproofing and insulation throughout the apartment. We have both air conditioning and heating in the bedrooms and the living-dining room. If needed, we also offer a baby crib (60x120cm) and a parking space in a private garage (available upon request). Everything will be ready for your stay — including bed linen, towels, soap, shampoo, shower gel, and essential kitchen utensils to help you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The decor brings soul to this home by blending nature and the sea. You’ll find real plants, rustic touches, and marine inspiration. Many of the decorative elements have been hand-painted or handmade by me, and some of the furniture once belonged to my grandparents. We’ve poured our essence into every detail so you can feel it during your stay.

El Albir is a beautiful and charming beach area located between the beaches of Benidorm and Altea. The apartment is in a privileged location, right in the heart of El Albir’s lively center and just one row back from the beach — only a 1-minute walk from the shore. You won’t need a car to get around unless you want to explore further. Right around the building, you’ll find plenty of cafés, terraces, and restaurants, as well as a pharmacy, supermarket, and a playground. You can walk to Altea in about 30 minutes or bike there in just 10 minutes along the beautiful seafront promenade that connects the two towns. There are two popular hiking trails through the Sierra Helada Natural Park, including the scenic routes to the Albir Lighthouse and to the Repeater viewpoint. Benidorm is just a 15-minute drive away, or you can take bus line 10, with a stop just a 2-minute walk from Almar.
