Nestled in the historical old part of Les Planes d’Hostoles, Cal Gat is a beautifully restored factory with a spectacular sunny, airy indoor space for family activities and shady garden with 'spa-style' saltwater swimming pool (4 x 5 metres), hammocks, dining tables and barbecue area. The en-suite bedrooms open onto the garden so you will feel really connected with nature. With views up to the hills of the Vall d’Hostoles, and woods directly behind the house, it is the perfect blend of village life and country living.
A haven for cyclists and walkers, the area offers serious pedallers some challenging and exciting rides, or you can hire a bike locally or take a hike to while away a few hours on the Via Verde which passes directly through the village, connecting Girona and Olot and visiting many lovely villages. With Girona a 40 minute drive and Olot just 20 minutes away, you can dip into city life and sample some of the amazing shops and restaurants or keep it local and wander the local villages to soak up some of Catalunya’s interesting and storied history. The stunning woods of La Fageda are a 25-minute drive. The village of Les Planes is famous for its stunning waterfalls, hilltop castle and wonderful scenery for walkers. It has several small supermarkets, as well as restaurants, bars and cafés and a weekly market on Friday mornings.
