There was the river and there were the mountains. There was the calm, the magic and the simplicity of this place. On the banks of the Santa Uxía reservoir, in the heart of the Costa da Morte and very close to Ézaro and its waterfall. Today seven native trees give their name to our 7 rooms. Loureiros, Fieitas, Carballos, Acivros, Castiñeiros, Pinos e Toxos. Warmth, wood, stone and mud. By the fireplace, sound of dry wood burning. In the garden, murmur of leaves aired by the wind. At the pier, echoes of water. In the morning, the gentle tinkling of cups, the aroma of coffee, homemade sweets and freshly toasted bread. Casa de Santa Uxía is simplicity, nature and rest.
From our house it is easy to reach the most beautiful places on the Costa da Morte. Ézaro Waterfall and Monte Pindo. Villages of Ézaro, Muros, Finisterre and Muxía. Lighthouses and capes of Finisterre, Touriñán and Vilán. Beaches of Louro, Carnota, Ézaro and Langosteira. In addition to Nemiña and Mar de Fóra, which are highly valued for surfing. Places of historical interest such as the Hórreo de Carnota, Vimianzo Castle and the dolmens of Dombate and Pedra da Arca. The cities of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela are located 90 and 70 km away respectively from Casa de Santa Uxía. The location of Casa de Santa Uxía offers the possibility of enjoying the following activities: Canoeing and fishing from the house's pier Hiking routes: Monte Pindo (627 metres high), Rutas de los Molinos (in Ézaro), Camino de Santiago a Finisterre. Adventure tourism: canyoning, climbing, kayaking, horse riding or diving.
