Our village house may appear narrow at first glance, but reveals itself as a surprisingly spacious home set across four floors. The two floors we rent out are dedicated to guest use and include two double bedrooms, one single bedroom, a kitchen, living spaces, and two toilets. It is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside or enjoying a taste of village life. Please note that this is a home, not a hotel. If you are looking for a minimal or impersonal space, this may not be the right fit. Instead, we offer a warm and characterful environment with several comfortable sleeping areas and an efficient temperature control system, making it a welcoming place to stay year-round. The ground floor functions as the entrance and reception area of the house, home to TEMPS STUDIOS. This space reflects a focus on textile heritage, vintage garments, and design, with an archive of historic patterns and prints. It occasionally hosts workshops focused on reuse and textile redesign. The space is generally quiet and only used from time to time, remaining non-disruptive and separate from the guest living areas. Kindly note that an additional cleaning fee if you bring a pet. From October to February, there may be occasional daytime noise from a nearby olive press. While the machinery can be heard intermittently, it is accompanied by the distinctive aroma of freshly produced olive oil.

We are both artists and designers who have travelled extensively and come from England and Sweden, which is reflected in the character of the house that is full of colour and curiosity. Our bookshelves offer an eclectic mix, ranging from art, craft, and photography to fiction and academic works. In between guest stays, the house is also home to two very bright young girls, giving it a warmth that welcomes like-minded travellers, whether families or individuals. We live just 15 minutes from the village house and are available if you need any assistance during your stay.

Benifallet is a very lovely little village with a great heartbeat, nestled into the mountain ranges of southern Catalonia and on the banks of the river Ebro. It is under 30 mins drive to some wonderful undeveloped beaches and to the epic scenery of the Ebro delta, home to pink flamingos and rice paddy fields. Steeped in history that is visible every where you look from the Miravet castle of the moors and the Templar’s to the pockmarks and trenches from the civil war that raged its final battles here.
