Welcome to Casa Halcon. This is an olive finca and we work and live here off-the-grid, with our own well, free-range hens, cats, peacocks, a few goats and our dogs. Please note: the road is unpaved and rough during the rainy season. The house is build in the traditional countryside style with salvaged Moroccan floor tiles and oozes an antique feeling, although it is only 10 years old. We have three bathrooms, three bedrooms for guests and a terrace. The finca is close to the beautiful Doñana National Park and there are many paths to walk or cycle on.
We like having people around and share our life-style. When we travel we like staying at B&Bs rather than hotels to enjoy the private, intimate and individual experience this can offer. I enjoy cooking, so am happy to provide a meal on request. Any other requests about different foods, be it vegetarian, vegan, or diabetic needs will be happily included, as I love a challenge and want to provide the best experience.
Almonte is 4 kms, El Rocio 15 kms and the beaches of Matalascanas are 35 kms from here. Sevilla is about an hours drive from here. So there is plenty to do, from horse riding at the local equestrian centre or Donana Horse Adventure or hiking, cycling, swimming or simply relax in the friendly town of Almonte with its bars. The Romeria starts each year from here and the Saca de las Yeguas takes place every June.
