The house was built in 1877 and features a very distinctive Cuban‑style design, known locally as a “Casa Cubana.” The previous owners built it after traditional Cuban (Caribbean) homes, making its shape and façade stand out among the other buildings in town. It also reflects Noucentista architecture, with a simplified neoclassical style typical of early 20th‑century Catalonia—that blend of Mediterranean-classicism, balanced proportions, and restrained decoration characteristic of Noucentisme. We’re renovating this unique, cozy home step by step and decided to open it to guests so their stays can help support the renovation costs.
We are a family of three: my husband, our daughter (2) and I. We are a Catalan-Hungarian family. We are a respectful, funny and sometimes loud family with a toddler.
The house boasts an exceptional location. Even though we're right in the heart of the city center, the neighborhood remains wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is just a short stroll away: the beach, bakeries, shops, supermarkets, pizza places, restaurants—and we're just a two-minute walk from the train station.
