Tao is a small, peaceful village located in the geographic heart of Lanzarote, making it the ideal starting point for exploring the island without long drives. What our guests fall in love with most is the absolute peace and the feeling of being on a natural balcony overlooking the volcanoes. Activities and Landmarks: Nature and Hiking: We are at the foot of the Tamia volcano. I highly recommend hiking up at sunset; it is an easy walk with some of the best panoramic views on the island. Culture: Just 10 minutes away is the Villa de Teguise, the most beautiful village in Lanzarote, famous for its Sunday market and colonial architecture. We are also very close to the Monumento al Campesino, a must-visit to understand the work of César Manrique. Beaches: The spectacular Famara Beach, a paradise for surfers and lovers of endless walks, is only a 12-minute drive away. Gastronomy and Leisure: Local Restaurants: In the village of Tao and the surrounding areas (such as Tiagua or Mozaga), you will find teleclubs and restaurants where you can taste authentic goat cheese, papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes), and gofio.
