About the area Gomera Lounge is located directly on the popular beachfront promenade of La Playa in Valle Gran Rey, one of the most beautiful holiday destinations on La Gomera. The promenade is lined with cafés, restaurants and bars where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner while experiencing the relaxed atmosphere by the sea together with locals and visitors from around the world. The main beach is located just outside the property. Several other beautiful beaches are nearby, including the natural Playa del Inglés. Please note that strong currents can occur there, so swimming requires extra caution. Valle Gran Rey is also an ideal starting point for hiking. Many trails begin directly in the valley or are easily reached by public bus. One of the island’s greatest natural treasures is Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient laurel forests and considered one of the most impressive natural landscapes in the Canary Islands. La Gomera is renowned for its extraordinary diversity of landscapes. Majestic mountains, ancient forests, palm groves, deep ravines and the Atlantic Ocean are often only minutes apart.
