The villa is situated in the countryside on an urbanisation between two small towns. Hondon de las Nieves to the east, and Hondon de Los Frailes to the west. It's a very quiet area, set in the mountains of the Sierra de Crevillente, so the views are lovely. So ideal for relaxing and unwinding, or having a splash about in the pool. Hondon de las Nieves has a population of around 2000, with a picturesque palm-lined square where you can enjoy a great coffee or wine with some tapas. Whilst taking in the colourful traditional buildings, and the peaceful and tranquil living, combined with great food and sunny weather. The bi-weekly market is well worth visiting, and the fiestas in particular are legendary. Hondon de Los Frailes, like its neighbouring town, has some great places to sit and relax, or indulge in some of the local foods such as arroz caldoso (rice stew), trigo picado (cracked wheat stew) and grilled meat. The Urbanisation is very quiet but friendly, and a lot of the owners live on the urbanisation all year round, and are from all over Europe. If you want a trip out to the local town, there is a local Bodega museum in Hondon de las Nieves which is well worth a visit, and many places to eat and drink in the town.
