We are Lily and Pascal from the Netherlands and took over the B&B from lovely English people (David and Tracy) in May 2025. As with many traditional old Andalusian town houses the original design was quite quirky with thick walls and small windows. The ground floor even has a cave room as the property was built into the mountain and should you book this room you will see the cave wall forming one of the bedroom walls.Despite the unusual original design of the house David and Tracy have been able to create rooms that are surprisingly light and airy with everything that you would need to have a very comfortable stay. The roof terrace provides stunning views ,on a clear day you can see the Riff Mountains in Morocco and Gibraltar. The roof terrace closes in the evenings at dusk. With its central location KiCo is an ideal place to base yourself for waking and hiking, cycling ,photography , artists or just enjoying the village and the surrounding area. If you are a cyclist our hiker there is many great challenges here for you.

KiCo Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Competa adjacent to the main square and the church. The original building is believed to be one of the oldest central Competa houses. Part of the ground floor was used as a stable where the Mules and chickens were kept. the other part of the ground floor was a tobacco /cigarette factory. In more recent history it was the home of the village picture framer and artist wife. The house has undergone an extensive reform to make it a modern contemporary style property, making the most of the typically unusual town house layout. With the excellent location everything you need in the village is just a short walk,including the municipal car park. Our very stylish newly reformed luxury double ensuite bedrooms come with King or Queen size beds with sumptuous mattresses .The bathrooms have walk in style showers with hand held and rain shower heads, with towel radiator (towels are provided), vanity unit sinks, light up over sink mirrors and a power point. The rooms have individual air conditioning, smart tv, tea and coffee making facilities. The twin room comes with two single beds with luxury mattresses ,no external window,with a large separate private bathroom .All rooms have air conditioning a smart tv and tea and coffee making facility. Kico Bed and Breakfast has five floors including the roof terrace .The terrace boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountains and of the Mediterranean Sea where you can see Africa and Gibraltar. There is an honesty bar stocked with a selection of wines ,beers, soft drink, coffee, tea and snacks.
