"La Casa de las Aldeas" is situated in an 18th century building in quiet side street in the ancient Jewish quarter of the medieval town of Daroca. Until 1838 it was the seat of an important medieval organisation founded in 1248. The name of the hotel and its apartments reflect this historical heritage. From 2012 until 2014 the building was completely refurbished, adding new architectural elements to the facade which pay hommage to a century-old style of construction in Daroca. The modern interior of the hotel is inspired by timeless Nordic design and has been realized mainly with products from renowned Spanish manufacturers. The building has been totally adapted to the needs of contemporary living and provides all the comfort and anemities you can expect for an enjoyable stay. The modernity of the building contrasts pleasantly with the rich historical, cultural and architectural heritage of the town of Daroca.

Coming to Daroca is like taking a trip back in time. Its mighty gate-houses, walls and towers, its churches, palacios, narrow streets and ancient houses recall the splendor and the legends of Daroca's glorious medieval past. One of the highlights is the walk around the encircling medieval town walls, one of the largest in Europe. They give testimony of a time when Daroca was an important political, economic, administrative and military player in this part of Spain. One of the highlights of visiting Daroca and its surrounding are its beautiful, often spectacular nature and its rich wildlife. The Laguna de Gallocanta, where many thousands of cranes assemble twice each year, the gorges of the río Piedra, the valley of the río Jiloca, the beautiful hills of the Sierra de Santa Cruz are just a few of the many sites which make a stay in Daroca so interesting and worthwhile. We especially encourage our guests to discover the area around Daroca by foot our by the mountain bikes which we have available for you at the hotel.
