La Palma Hostel – Pension Central offers comfortable accommodation in a rustic and authentic atmosphere, right in the centre of Fuencaliente. The traditional Canarian architecture and simple but cosy interiors create a genuine island feeling, perfect for those who value tranquillity, nature and authenticity more than luxury or mass tourism. Located directly along the legendary Ruta de los Volcanes, the hostel is an ideal base for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Our guesthouse provides a warm, friendly environment and a peaceful space where travellers can relax and easily connect with others. Despite its rural character, the property benefits from a very central location: just a short walk from supermarkets, a pharmacy, cafés, bus stops and local services. After a day of exploring, guests can unwind on the calm terrace, prepare simple meals in the shared kitchenette (microwave, toaster, coffee maker; no full cooking facilities), or simply enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere and starry skies.

Neighborhood info

We are located in the extreme south of La Palma, just 30 minutes from the airport and close to the island’s main points of interest. Fuencaliente is a must-visit for hikers and anyone eager to explore La Palma’s natural beauty, from pine forests to volcanic trails and pristine beaches. For a taste of local life, just around the corner you’ll find the very authentic Bar Parada with traditional almond pastries, the charming café-pastry shop Zulay serving excellent coffee, and the nearby Teneguía winery. A little further away, the Quinto Pino restaurant awaits with some of the best food on the island. These spots give a true flavour of Fuencaliente’s local charm.
