Our charming, freshly renovated, 120 year old cottage, once the village blacksmiths and forge, is full of character, nestled in a tranquil corner of the village of Campell with views across the Orba Valley to Denia Castle and the glistening Mediterranean Sea some 20km distant. We have two beautiful,air-conditioned rooms both en-suite. Our family suite has plenty of room for a family of three. The name Les Penyetes means 'Little Rocks' which lie to the front of our house, part of our beautiful front garden. The cycling and walking are second to none in La Vall de Laguar which is a magical, almost mystical, place that attracts artists, musicians and poets as well as those looking to disconnect and embrace nature. Les Penyetes affords you the perfect spot with beautiful bedrooms, our terrace with stunning views as well as use of the Reading and Garden rooms. Breakfast includes delights such as Greek yoghurt with granola and oranges fresh from the campo, freshly baked bread and pastries, local sourced charcuterie,cheeses and fruit, croissants with jams and preserves (orange and ginger is my favourite), poached eggs with rosemary toast and serrano ham, coffee, tea and herbal infusions. Les Penyetes is situated in a tranquil corner of Campell with very little traffic. The village has two shops, a friendly bar, local bakery and pharmacy all within a few minutes walk. Beautiful walks including the famous 5000 steps along an old Moorish mule train route in La Barranc de Inferno are on our doorstep. Cycling is very popular too. The area has plenty of very fine restaurants. Popular days out among our guests include Guadalest, Fonts d'Algar, the winery tour at Pepe Mendoza in Jalon and cosmopolitan Denia. The nearest beach, large shopping centre and access to the motorway are all 20 minutes away. In the summer our beautiful outdoor municipal pool and chiringuita is just 3 minutes drive away.
