This is why we have photovoltaic solar panels for our electricity consumption as well as solar thermal pannels for heating the water. Mateus is committed to renewable energies and ecotourism. We constantly develop activities that help promote respect for the environment. We help bring this ecological attitude beyond the requirements of current environmental legislation, implementing preventive measures that contribute to the sustainable development of the environment. We are committed to responsible tourism that contributes to the sustainable development of society. We have a waste collection system and recycling containers to facilitate segregation. When we segregate properly we avoid disposing products that damage the environment.
Welcome to Mateus, it is an honour for me to be able to share the 2 houses of Mateus with you. Mateus is a very special place that allows you to disconnect from our stressful daily life and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. What I like the most about Mateus is the silence, peace and tranquillity that I experience when I am there. I think that Mateus is a place that transforms you, you forget the stress and you reconnect with the peace inside you. Try it.
El Berguedà is an area with many landscapes and cultural attractions. Mateus is located in the municipality of Sagàs, in the valley of the Merlès stream, in the province of Barcelona. In the Berguedà you can do different activities such as guided visits to Romanesque hermitages, go to adventure parks (such as Pedraforca or Borredà), visit Can Fuives, an interpretation center for Catalan donkey, Casa de la Patum de Berga or Shrines such as Queralt or La Quar. You can also visit Museums, such as the mines of Cercs or the Palentological site of Fumanya and hiking in the mountains of Pedraforca or Rasos de Peguera.

Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Guests will receive a rental agreement which must be signed and returned to the property prior to arrival. If guests don't receive the agreement on time, they should contact the property management company at the number on the booking confirmation.

Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
