Recently renovated seaside apartment with spectacular views that sits atop a restaurant. The property consists ONLY of the interior apartment and the oceanside terrace, there is an adjacent piece of land and a terrace surrounding the entry of the apartment which are vacant and belong to the restaurant below. The renovation includes radiant floor heating thru an aerothermal renewable energy system, with zero carbon dioxide emissions, high grade windows and industrial sound insulation. From the oceanside terrace, you can take steps down to the restaurant terrace or continue down more steps to the beach. The furniture includes comfortable functional Ikea combined with custom made pieces from my grandma`s chestnut trees, whimsical art and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room.
As a native New Yorker and retired flight attendant, I am very excited to share the beauty and simplicity found in this small patch of earth. As I traveled around the world, I often found myself thinking, this place would be perfect if it only had the beaches of Meiras.
Meiras has 4 main beaches, they are, Playa del Rio, A Mourilla, La Cristina and Campelo. There´s also 4 beautiful coves, Cecilio, Cano Grande, O Rego and Os Cortellos. The jewel of Meiras is the chapel, A Virxen do Porto, a truly unforgettable visit. Under the A Froxiera lighthouse, you can explore the abandoned military tunnels that lead to spectcular wide open ocean views. Within a 5 mile radius, you will find many restaurants, coffee shops, surf schools, trails, Campomar Golf Course, Cabaliño do Lago Horseback riding and even paintball. Muramar Beach House is found at Playa del Rio, a wonderful beach for the youngest swimmers due to it´s inlet.
