We are a German-Spanish couple, that decided 2006 to move to this place, because it´s spirit just captivated us. We respect our environment, do use renewable energies wherever possible and will do all we can to make you come back again and again.

Property info

The Pazo de Chaioso is a former mansion dating back to 17th century, with its own chapel and a big garden. In 2006 we found the property after thirty years of decay and renovated it in 12 years of hard work. The aim was to offer a bed & breakfast that combines modern comfort surrounded by nature with historical flair and maximum sustainability. In addition to the obvious features, all rooms have one or more natural stone walls, underfloor heating, visible timber beams, modern & comfortable beds with high-quality mattresses and what we consider to be an enchanting flair. Welcome to the Pazo de Chaioso!

Neighborhood info

Chaioso is a small hamlet with some 15 inhabitants. The main village, Maceda, is only one kilometer away, offering post-office, 24 hours medical services, supermarkets, public swimmimg-pool, (summer season only), restaurants, bars, etc. The area around us allows long walks or bicycle rides through forests and lovely landscapes. The Sil canyon is only 15 kilometers away, and many beautiful and famous ancient monasteries are in a 10-40km perimeter, waiting to be found on idyllic roads through impressing ancient forests. We will be happy to assist you choosing whatever suits best for you.
