Tossal del Maig is an Independent Rural House situated in the beautiful village of Barberà de la Conca (Tarragona - Spain). A perfect place from where to discover the medieval region Conca de Barberà, its D.O. wines, and visit the cultural and scenic masterpiece of the Catalan Císter route. We take care of everything. House offer: From the house there are 2 signposted hiking trails of 18 km. We will pick you up and bring you back to the house. In summer, remember that the beaches of the Costa Daurada and the Prades mountains are just 30 minutes away by car.
We like to do our best for our guests: - The house is for you alone (we have our own). - The Tossal hikes (on foot or by car) that we have prepared will help you to get to know our region (you can always count on our assistance to do the on foot ones). - As we love eating and drinking we have prepared for you a selection of the best restaurants (quality/price) and the best wines in the area.
Tossal of the Maig is located inside the beautiful town of Barberà of the Conca (Conca de Barberà), town eminently agriculturist, with ample views of all the region and surrounded by vineyards and small forests of oak, rivets and pine. In this town (s.XIX) was build the first cooperative warehouse of Spain and there raises a "templario" castle (s.XI). Ideal place to enjoy the route of monasteries of the Catalan Císter and other routes as the one of modernist warehouses (cathedrals of the wine), the one of castles of Gaià and natural places of great beauty like mountains of Prades, valleys of the river of Corb, Brugent, Gaià ... At few kilometers are also monumental towns like Montblanc, Guimerà, Santa Coloma de Queralt, Tàrrega. And at half an hour the Costa Dorada beaches. In summary, an ideal house for a week of discoveries.
