Featuring mountain views, Vis 101 offers accommodation with balcony, around 42 km from The Lakes of Covadonga. It is set 36 km from La Cueva de Tito Bustillo and features luggage storage space. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. All units at the bed and breakfast come with a seating area. Units are complete with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and a hair dryer, while some units at the bed and breakfast also feature a patio. We have beautiful views and fantastic walks in the Picos de Europa and the tiny village. The National Park is right outside and we are only 40 minutes’ drive from the sea. We welcome people who enjoy hiking and exploring. Artists & birdwatchers also enjoy our place (there are quite a few golden eagles!). After a long day´s hiking or cycling it´s nice to come home to a home cooked, healthy dinner. Most of our vegetables are home grown & organic and we offer a set evening meal that visitors have really enjoyed. We cater for vegetarians and vegans. We have a dog that lives onsite. This room is for 2 people but 3 can book on request for a supplement.
We are language teachers by profession with a long career in UK universities, so if you would like to improve your Spanish or English during your stay, just let us know! We enjoy hiking and growing our own, organic food. We have limited wifi for emergency use
Vis is near the Lagos de Covadonga and the Olla de San Vicente, only 20 minutes´walk from the start of the National Park in the Picos de Europa, yet it is quiet, peaceful. We like to make sure our guests are comfortable and relaxed and have had excellent feedback. HOW TO GET HERE: Once you arrive in Cangas, immediately after the Roman Bridge take the N625 on the right. Follow this for about 8 km and you will see the large sign pointing up to Vis . Be careful - the turn comes quite quickly! (If you are coming from Riaño the turning is on the right just after the village of Santillan). Once in the village ( 2.5km from the main road) , turn left at the group of hórreos in the village square (wooden houses on stone columns) and our house is the white house at the end of this road ( yours is beside it). You won't see it until you walk to the end of the road and you can't drive much beyond the hórreos. IMPORTANT: On GPS, DON’T put in AMIEVA; it’s the name of the municipal area but also another village. Also remember the village is called Vis but on Google maps it’s called VISTA. Please note that there is not a shop in the village, but a van comes every day with groceries
